Business mail for Swiss SMEs
EMX is hosted e-mail for companies: a mailbox for every person at your own domain, shared mailboxes for addresses such as info@ or office@, a web client in the browser, and the mail apps you already use.
Who it is for
Small and medium-sized businesses in Switzerland, from one person to a team. EMX is sold to businesses only, under the EMX terms. From about 25 people, or with special needs, write to us about the Enterprise plan.

No VAT is charged: Krauss Software is not registered for VAT. Team is paid monthly through Stripe; the number of mailboxes follows the people in your organisation. There is no trial.
What is included
- Your own domains, with the DNS records EMX shows you and checks for you
- People, shared mailboxes, groups and aliases
- Shared mailboxes in Outlook and Apple Mail over IMAP, and every mail app with IMAP and SMTP
- Out-of-office replies, forwarding and rules on the server
- Spam and virus filtering
- A web client that installs as an app on phones and computers
- Sealed mailboxes, for people who need mail the server cannot read; your organisation decides whether they are allowed
- When someone leaves: their mailbox becomes a shared mailbox or goes to a colleague, recorded in the audit log
- A developer API and webhooks
What is not included yet
- Calendar and contacts (CalDAV and CardDAV)
- Exchange ActiveSync
- An app of its own for phones; the web client installs on the home screen, and the phone's mail app works over IMAP
- Signed installers for desktop computers
We do not give dates for these.
How to start
- Sign in with EAuth, the sign-in of Elchi Studios. You can make an EAuth account on the way.
- Name your organisation, accept the EMX terms and choose a plan.
- Private starts at once. Team continues to the payment page of Stripe; until the payment is through, your organisation runs on Private.
- Add your domain, publish the DNS records EMX lists, then add your people.
Leaving
You can cancel at any time in the admin interface. The subscription ends with the month paid for. For 30 days after cancelling your organisation can read and export all its mail; then everything is deleted. Logs keep full IP addresses for 90 days, then only the network.
